The Players Club opened for play in 1985. The course was designed by Jerry Matthews.

The fairways are narrow and demand accurate shot placements. Water hazards come into play on several holes, Several fairways are doglegs.

Par for the course is 35. From the back tees the course plays to 2,710 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 2,320 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 485 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 135 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 365 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Players Club is # 8, the short 135 yard par-3.

The Players Club closed in 2003.
